Tour of our regenerative care farm with Tom Morphew

Visit the Garden Army Farm and learn about the importance of regenerative farming.  Why do we need to look after our soil and how we can get the best out of it? How can farming help in the battle against climate change? Why is agriculture so important to our health and society?

Children’s activity session

Duration – 3 hours

Maximum participants – 8 recommended age 6-10 years

Come and spend a fun packed session on the farm learning all about farming and how to grow vegetables. The session will include a tasting session of our produce picked fresh from the farm, planting seeds, meeting the chickens, and collecting their eggs and building mini bug hotels.

Price includes: A taster of our farm vegetables (produce dependent on time of year)  a mini bug hotel and planted pot with chosen seeds to take home to grow

Grow your own vegetables session

Duration – 3 hours

Maximum participants – 15

Have you talked about growing vegetables but never tried? Would you like to try but think that you do not have enough space? Are you convinced that you will just kill everything?

Please join one of the Garden Army team to discover the basics of getting started and growing through the seasons. Suitable for absolute beginners and we welcome those who have limited space at home and would like to learn to grow vegetables in pots or those who have lots of space or are interested in starting an allotment.

Price includes: Handouts and information from the day, a starter pack of chosen seeds and a planting tray to get you started at home.  The starter pack will vary dependent on your needs for example plants for patio pots.
